It often begins with a light.  A really good idea, that is.  Like the flick of a switch, the turning of a dial, or the pulling of a cord.  Suddenly everything is bright and a smile forms in your heart and shows on your face, revealing evidence of greatness, manifesting a unique sense of style, and forming character as rich as it is simple.  Something wonderful yet inexplicable has occurred, and everyone knows it.    

Apologies to those who are excited and/or aroused, but chuggy brand clothing is not like this.  Instead it is merely the product of lazy, creative Midwestern gentlemen who are too sharp to be had by the modern textile industry.  Nearly ten years ago, these young prophets foretold the wacky craze of brand-name monsters and chose to kick it in the face.  They chose a different path, and that, they say, has made all the difference.

Beginning with an ideal of effortlessness and a matching slogan of  “it’s good enough,” Chuggy launched its brief history on the backs of plain people, the regular Joe, so to speak.  It represents a song for the underdog, yes; but instead of being born in sympathy, it boldly screams “If it weren’t for your money/popularity/good-looks, those stupid fools out there would rather be me!”   It is at the same time a mockery and a copycat.  It says both at this very moment, “I hate you, you’re wrong” and “I’m going to beat you at your own silly game.”  It is a fashion but it is not a fad.  Can you dig it?

Everyone believes in something.  The makers of Chuggy believe that they have what you need.  Or maybe not.  They believe that their own way is better.  It probably isn’t.  They believe attention will be given where attention is due.  Not likely.  All in all, it doesn’t really matter.    

After evolving in the hands of delicate, zany masters, Chuggy Brand now looks forward to the future, bordering that giant leap into the success that was dreamed of by the few who were willing to be different than the same.  The same old this, the same old that.  Blah blah blah.  Similar to a lick of cool jazz, Chuggy is finally ready to take hold of your senses and shake until you see clearly, until you realize the ultimate message, which is this:  “Wear our t-shirts, you bloody idiots!”  And remember, whatever Chuggy might mean to you, it is always, it is forever, just plain ...
